Your mission

Your mission is to lead our new product development process in the car seat category to launch the next innovative car seat on the market. We only go for the best, of the best, of the best. So being selective in what ideas we pursue is critical. By meeting our targets, we will ensure to regain or no1 position in the European Juvenile market with brands like Maxi-Cosi, Bebeconfort and Safety 1st.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the new product development (NPD) and new product introduction (NPI) process in collaboration with your team.
  • Define the strategy and vision for your product group.
  • Oversee product development to ensure it meets customer needs.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from development to launch and beyond.
  • Determine production, aftersales, portfolio management, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Collaborate with various teams, departments, and colleagues within Dorel Juvenile, including developers, marketing, sales, and operational management.
  • Serve as the point of contact from the R&D team for departments such as Supply, Fabrics, and Design, providing input based on consumer insights.
  • Actively manage and enhance your portfolio.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in product development or product marketing.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial capacity.
  • Affinity with technical aspects is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a plus.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to various stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and a willingness to innovate.

Are you ready to grow with us?

  • A salary between 3500 and 5000 a month, based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a full-time position, with a minimum of 32 hours per week also an option.
  • You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month.
  • You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
  • The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
  • Extensive retirement plan.
  • Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, Bicycle Plan and collective health insurance.
  • Besides work there is time for fun such as team outings.
