Your mission

The plastics scheduler will schedule the injection molding machines to support manufacturing schedules, work in process (WIP) and Kanban inventories. This position will work closely with production, planning, purchasing, and engineering to review material demand and capacity plans, as well as mold and press PM’s and revisions. This position works under the direct supervision of the Manufacturing Planning Manager and directly supports production planning and purchasing.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule injection molding machines to ensure pack and plastics area of production requirements are met. • Maintain work in process (WIP) inventories, as well as Kanban inventories. • Coordinate Preventative Maintenance (PM) on molds and machines (presses) with Maintenance team. • Create work orders in JD Edwards (JDE)

Your profile

Education, Licenses, and/or Certification Requirements: • High school diploma • 1 – 2 years of experience in operations, supply chain, purchasing or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and Skills • Strong knowledge of JDE • Strong knowledge of Excel software • Able to learn Mattec MES (manufacturing execution system) • Plastic injection molding knowledge is a plus • Knowledge of manufacturing operations including parts, materials, capabilities and services required Interpersonal Competencies • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and deadlines • Ability to accurately communicate risks • Excellent planning and organizing skills • Ability to prioritize • Excellent decision-making skills
