Your mission

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will support the local research & product development for the Australian market. You will be required to research, develop and design textiles for our car seat and nursery ranges for major retailers and specialty stores, and liaise with international factories.

We are looking for a textile/fashion designer who is vibrant, has initiative and flair.

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Support the local research & product development for the Australian market.
  • Research, develop and design textiles for our car seat and nursery ranges for major retailers and specialty stores,
  • Liaise with international factories
  • Developing soft goods specification for off shore factories
  • Creating illustrations for new styles and amend illustrations when necessary
  • Liaising with off shore divisions for required sample fabrics
  • Managing the process of sample production to final soft goods sign off

Your profile

You should be proficient with:

  • Adobe Create Suite (In-design, Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • New concept development and presentation of ideas
  • Preparation of storyboards & presentations for customers
  • Creating illustrations for new styles and amend illustrations when necessary
  • Managing the process of sample production to final soft goods sign off

To succeed in the role you will need to be;

  • Flexible
  • Able to work to tight deadlines & multi- task
  • Able to work in a team environment and/or autonomously

The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and will be "willing to roll your sleeves up" to achieve your goals. You will act and deliver with urgency and are accustomed to working in a fast-paced team environment.
