Your mission

As a Filmmaker, your role focusses on creating visual stories that resonate with our audiences. You will be capturing the essence of our products and brands and the emotions they evoke. You do this though actively bending light while taking stills or shooting a video and will be supported by our brand, creative and multimedia teams. (You do this) You will bring scripts to life, capturing emotions, narratives, and artistic visions. Including various genres such as documentaries, commercials, and product focused media.

Key responsibilities

In this position you will be expected to wear multiple hats. While our in-house production team grows, your focus will shift towards the tasks that really make you shine. Primary skills:

  • You are responsible for capturing photos or video images in our home studio and external locations for multiple purposes and channels.
  • Engage in creative brainstorming sessions with the multimedia manager, creative director, and brand lead.
  • Plan and prepare for shoots, including casting, location scouting, and equipment setup.
  • Translate scripts into captivating visual sequences.
  • Have knowledge of handling and taking care of all filming related equipment such as cameras, microphones, lighting, props, and other.
  • Responsible for directing yourself and if applicable other camera operators to ensure the needed footage is acquired.
  • Collaborating closely with other members of the crew to create the desired result using both technical expertise and creativity.
  • Offer creative solutions on the spot and actively participate in all production stages, with a particular focus on filming and lighting.

Secondary skills:

  • Contribute to editing and post-production processes, showcasing your multidisciplinary skills.

Your profile

  • A proven track record as a Filmmaker with experience preferable in a production agency, filmmaking, or advertising company.
  • A clear understanding of cinematography, crafting the images to make up a film. Understanding camera angles, lighting, and composition is crucial.
  • A robust portfolio demonstrating your involvement in multimedia projects and your specific contributions.
  • A deep passion for storytelling, with a willingness to take risks and push boundaries.
  • Proven track record and ability to clearly express ideas and master the use of visual language.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the film industry and the complete production pipeline.
  • Physical stamina to handle camera equipment for extended periods and the ability to construct necessary filming setups.
  • Extensive knowledge of how to handle equipment. You are familiar with various equipment, language used in film production and on set such as cameras (RED, Arri, Canon, Sony), lens (Cooke, Zeiss, Canon), and light gear (key, fill, low lighting, fresnel, skypanel).
  • Proactive team player, entrepreneurial spirit with a capability for seeing the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail.
  • You are proficient in using editing software (Creative Cloud, Davinci Resolve) for post-production work.

Are you ready to grow with us?

  • A salary between 55 and 60K a year including a 13th month and holiday pay. Salary is based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position for 40 hours per week, flexibility on production days is required.
  • You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
  • Extensive retirement plan.
  • Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, Bicycle Plan and collective health insurance.
  • Besides work there is time for fun such as team outings or our Workout on Wheels bootcamp every Tuesday.
