To strengthen our German sales team, we are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Sales Manager DE. Do you have a strong retail background, and would you like to play an important role in the growth of Dorel Juvenile in Germany?
Your mission
The Sales Manager is responsible to drive sustainable and healthy business growth for a dedicated group of accounts in a market (country). You know how to get the best results out of your accounts and know how to turn the conversation into concrete results. You are the proud ambassador of the most meaningful brands in the juvenile industry and are responsible to grow sales in your customer group. In addition you coach your sales team so that they get the best out of themselves.
Key responsibilities
- You deliver an important contribution to the implementation of the European commercial strategy.
- Based on the commercial strategy, you formulate an annual Account plan with a sales budget, work independently within the frameworks of this plan and bear ultimate responsibility for follow-up.
- You stimulate growth at your account group through your personal visit and your insights. You are supported by a (team of) Representative(s) who train the employees in the store of your accounts.
- You consult you local marketing counterparts where necessary and you ensure optimal execution of the trade marketing activities together.
- You are responsible for generating new sales with existing account base and further professionalize and intensify your relationships with customers.
- You analyze and report the sales results, in such a way that it is possible to make the necessary corrections to at least realize the turnover targets.
- You are responsible for the active use of Salesforce information to steer your team towards better customer relations and results

- Turnover responsible for the annual budget of your account base
- Delivering long term Account Plans including Trade Marketing Activities
- Customer satisfaction
- Daily team usage of Salesforce
- 60% on the road
Profile of qualification – What do you bring ?
- Network within the juvenile industry or you have thorough knowledge of a professional Consumer Goods key account environment.
- You have at least 5 years of proven successful sales experience within the international BtC distribution.
- Strong language skills in English and local language
- Strong in relationship management and turning a conversation into a result interview.
- Good negotiator and challenger, or opportunity developer towards the customer.
- Combines strategic and numerical insight with operational decisiveness and decisiveness..
You report to Lindsay May the Sales Director Europe.
Your profile
- You are fluent in English and German.
- You are a people-oriented person; involved, listening and communicative. You have excellent presentation skills and you love teaching people different ways to do things better;
- You like being on the road. You move easily within the region of your market;
- You will be available during weekends for demo days and fairs on average 2 day a month.
- You have a drivers license and live in the Hannover region.
