Our EU Operations division of Dorel Juvenile consists of 5 departments: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouse & Distribution, Procurement, and Supplier Quality. Within our Supply Chain department we are looking for an analytical, proactive and enthusiastic European Forecast Analyst to cover a maternity leave. This position is based in our EU headquarters in the Netherlands and reports directly to the European Demand Manager, based in France.

Please note that this is initially a temporary position starting asap, replacing a maternity leave till December 2024. We are open to hiring with an interim construction (zzp), please share your hourly rate when applying.

Your mission

As Forecast Analyst, you are a key contributor to our S&OP process and customer growth and will forecast a dedicated products portfolio. Fond of data analysis, you like to deep dive into figures and patterns to understand your customer(s) better and become a real specialist. 

Key responsibilities

  • Leading and supervising statistical accuracy of current and future forecasts, including adjustments based on trends, market requirements, and exceptional events.
  • Analyzing diverse data sources to determine and confirm future trends, including sell-out data, sales history, seasonality, attachment rates, and cannibalization, to enhance forecast precision.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data for formulating sales forecasts, integrating statistical modeling and marketing strategies.
  • Developing and refining metrics to facilitate forecast delivery for new product implementation.
  • Providing ad hoc forecasts, turnover analysis, and report preparation to support management decision-making.
  • Facilitating Demand Meetings for the assigned area, proposing realistic demand forecasts, and identifying areas requiring S&OP process arbitration.
  • Conducting monthly statistical analyses, including trend analysis, NPI management, CLP participation, and quota/budget data preparation.
  • Managing KPI accuracy, implementing action plans, and ensuring weekly controls, including defining alerts and communication regarding low OB situations.

Your profile

  • Higher education (HBO/university) in Business, Logistics or related.
  • Fluent English is a must. As Dorel Juvenile is a multicultural company and you will work with a multicultural team. Working knowledge of any other European language(s) is therefore a plus.
  • Knowing nskep demand planning or another APS is a plus.
  • Proactive, you like to anticipate things in autonomy, and you are regular and rigorous in the processes. You convince people with facts.
  • Your strong personality and communication skills allow you to highly contribute and lead discussions in sales meetings.

Are you ready to grow with us?

  • A salary between 2700 and 3600 a month based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
  • You will receive a temporary contract till the end of 2024 with a probation time of one month.
  • You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
  • The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
  • Extensive retirement plan.
  • Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, Bicycle Plan and collective health insurance.
