Your mission

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with strong data architecture and ETL skills. You will help build out our data warehouse, maintain existing architecture, build new ETL packages for new data needs, maintain and update existing ETL packages, along with help support creation and maintenance of PowerBI datasets. You will take a big picture view of Dorel’s data needs and overall data architecture. You will build new jobs and optimize existing jobs for accuracy, timeliness, and performance. You will also help us maintain and grow our enterprise data warehouse with the right data and performance to support our front-end tools and users. As a liaison between the data architecture and presentation layer this role is key to us delivering relevant and reliable data solutions. Our goal is to turn all our data into valuable knowledge and drive key decisions across all major functional areas. Ultimately, you will enhance our business intelligence capabilities to help us make better decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, design, build, test, and implement integration technology solutions that meet the specifications of a project or service request • Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability • Adapt ETL processes to accommodate changes in source systems and new business user requirements and tune source queries for scale and performance • Maintain and build all aspects of data warehouse architecture (databases, tables, views, relationships, etc.) Create and maintain PowerBI datasets with specifications from BI team and end-users • Create and maintain documentation for ETL processes and EDW schema • Participate in creating prototypes and proofs of concepts for new infrastructure technology • Stay current with ETL technologies and communicate trends and needs

Your profile

Education, Experience, and Skills: • Bachelor’s degree (4 years) • 5+ years of relevant work experience • Demonstrated track record working with data warehouse and ETL architecture and tools (Talend preferred) • Expert level knowledge in writing SQL code for queries, stored procedures, data cleansing and manipulation, and database and table creation and modification (Snowflake preferred) • Experience working in team-oriented, collaborative environment • Possess a continuous improvement mindset • Be inquisitive and think critically to find creative solutions to problems
