In our European Market Quality team (part of Operations division), an exciting opportunity has recently come up for an analytical, proactive, and enthusiastic Market Quality Engineer. This position is based in our EU headquarters in Helmond, NL.

Your mission

As Junior Market Quality Engineer it is your mission to help ensure product quality within our New Product Development projects and maintain related Product Performance during the full lifecycle of the product.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure product conformity throughout the product lifecycle, including maintenance, engineering changes, and cost-saving projects, through appropriate validation processes and tools.
  • Identify, highlight, and secure product risks to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Track and monitor product quality performance and conformity in the market, incorporating aftersales and consumer care inputs, and drive corrective action plans through non-conformity management.
    • Serve as the primary contact person for market quality topics.
    • Handle market alerts and take appropriate actions.
    • Perform product conformity audits.
    • Evaluate and classify defect rates, defining priorities for aftersales.
    • Drive product corrections or improvements.
  • Assist in problem-solving efforts using the 8D methodology for product issues during development or throughout the lifecycle, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, efficiency improvement, and knowledge capitalization.
  • Manage the product compliance database, including all finished products and test reports, ensuring adherence to applicable standards and regulations.
  • Identify products that require testing in external laboratories for new homologation or renewal purposes.
  • Ensure the return of data on products, analyze it along with sales data for frequently returned products, and identify the source of problems and potential safety risks.
  • Assess risks related to product conformity and take appropriate measures.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to brainstorm and implement solutions for problems, ensuring effective service strategies, and creating a comprehensive handbook for service-related issues.
  • Act as a point of contact and provide support for agents, redirecting them to relevant departments, gathering information, and providing regular status updates. Develop training materials to enhance the performance of agents.
  • Manage long-term service-related processes for spare parts according to EU regulations, including reviewing all products, gathering information from departments, managing spare parts backlog, and collaborating with marketing for content creation.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Quality or related.
  • Some years of relevant working experience within a development Center or Manufacturing plant Quality dpt.
  • Experience with product quality during NPD phase is a strong bonus.
  • Fluent in English, fluency in any other language is a bonus.
  • Experience with driving Product Quality tools & mindset (DFMEA, DVP, 8D, PPAP, PDCA, 6 Sigma).Experience with Sales Force and Power BI are a plus.
  • Affinity with juvenile products, as well as with injection molding and materials and machinery is a bonus.
  • Good understanding of different cultures and experience in an international organization.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • You are a team player who can also easily function as an independent technical expert.
  • You actively look for and recognize opportunities for growth of the business.

What we offer

  • A salary between 2500 and 3500, based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
  • You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month.
  • You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
  • The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
