Are you the inspirational and performance driven Global Product Experience Training Lead that sets, steers and analyses the European training program to increase the instore experience of our products and brands?  Do you dare to take ownership of the Training development across markets?

This is your chance! We are looking for a Retail Training Manager Europe.

Your mission

As part of our Trade Marketing team you will enhance the brand and product experience at retail by developing and implementing effective training programs for our retailers, distributors and sales teams. The training programs, part of our service-offer to retailers, are related to our brands, products, shopping behaviour & selling skills. Our 3 European training leads in the key markets report into you. You will report to Ashley Collins, the Senior Trade Marketing Manager Europe.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a European training strategy and roadmap aligned with brands, products, services, and sales strategies, implementing training materials, tools and methods.
  • Create and implement a winning training program across Europe including a train-the-trainer initiative for training heads in each market to enhance loyalty and retail conversion with innovative learning content. The focus lies on shop floor execution and market-specific adaptations to boost sales.
  • Implement strategies for upselling and cross-selling using innovative and engaging elements in our training program and explore alternative online training tools..
  • Develop and execute retail staff incentive programs in collaboration with the commercial team to drive increased sell-out performance. Manage the three training leads (in DACH, UKI & France) and coach them to help improve the influence strategy into action, in close alignment with the Country Managers.
  • You take an active role in executing the training goals within our key accounts.
  • Be the go-to person for our markets, taking ownership and becoming an expert on the entire Dorel portfolio.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on training program effectiveness using data from e-learning platforms, Salesforce, and PowerBI dashboards.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs in collaboration with managers in local markets and the Head Office.
  • Manage the Europe training budget effectively.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related field with several years of relevant marketing experience in an international complex/matrix environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with confidence, drive, energy, and the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to translate strategy and insights into pragmatic execution plans. Experience with high-end brands and/or retail is a strong advantage.
  • Experienced in bringing training programs to life and running them. Strong skills in presenting to large audiences, public speaking, and making presentations.
  • Strong leadership skills overseeing actions and stakeholders, responsible for delivering online content through Brand and Product marketing.
  • Proficient in storytelling, commercializing, training, and sales techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of any other European languages is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Are you ready to grow with us?

  • A salary between €3800 and €5000 based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
  • You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month.
  • You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
  • The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
  • Extensive retirement plan.
  • Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, Bicycle Plan and collective health insurance.
  • Besides work there is time for fun such as team outings.
