Your mission

The Consumer Care Training Coordinator will be the primary training contact for Dorel Juvenile Consumer Care.  Lead all aspects of Consumer Care specific training, including program design, new content development, on-going content refinement and delivery.  Collaborate with Consumer Care Leaders to identify and clarify training needs and develop, deliver, and optimize training results.

Successful individuals must be comfortable designing and conducting product training via multiple communication channels and across all levels of the organization.  This role will require handling multiple priorities and deadlines and require strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

This position is located in Columbus, IN. 

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for New Specialist training program including:
    • Process and procedures
    • Programs
    • Existing product training (new hires and as needed)
    • New product training
    • Consumer Care monitoring process
    • Collaborative coaching
    • Assist with mentoring new hires as they transition into production and work toward proficiency
  • Adjust work schedule during a new Specialist’s training period, available to work in the office Monday-Friday until it is determined the new Specialist is prepared and ready to work the Company hybrid schedule (working from home Monday and Friday)
  • Provide ongoing training to address performance gaps and development needs
  • Review help desk data and performance results and provide recommendations for training needs, develop and deploy appropriate training
  • Responsible for administration of Learning Management System (Lessonly) and development of lessons, quizzes, paths, etc. in this tool
  • Maintain Consumer Care calendar for training and release dates of new products
  • Conduct one-on-one monthly check-ins with Specialists and Supervisors
  • Periodically review all training to assess whether changes are needed to improve performance targets
  • Collaborate with leadership on training opportunities and optimization to meet performance targets
  • Other duties as assigned

Your profile

Education, Licenses, and/or Certification Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification required

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 1 year experience with Dorel Juvenile products or equivalent combination of experience with juvenile products and call center experience
  • Prior experience utilizing Salesforce and other CRM and Learning Management System highly preferred
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully coach peers
  • Ability to remain positive and friendly; must always maintain a professional demeanor
  • Strong organization skills, must be flexible, ability to multi-task, and maintain attention to detail
