Within our Supply Chain department we are looking for an analytical, proactive and enthusiastic Forecaster. This position is based in our EU headquarters in the Netherlands and reports directly to the European Demand Manager, based in France.
Please note that this is initially a temporary position for one year. We are open to hiring with an interim construction (zzp), please share your hourly rate when applying.
As Dorel Juvenile has multiple locations, it is possible to work both for Helmond (NL) as well as Cholet (FR), depending on your current location.
Your mission
As Forecaster, you are a key contributer to our S&OP process and customer growth and will forecast a dedicated products portfolio. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in data analysis and sales forecasting, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with different international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and maintaining short, medium, and long-term sales forecasting models (in Futurmaster)
- Analyzing historical sales data and market trends to define the best forecasting model
- Working closely with sales teams and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders (Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing) to foster continuous information exchange and improve forecast quality
- Regularly analyzing external data (client sell-out, client stock levels, market prices) to refine your forecasts
- In a context of frequent new product launches, preparing and analyzing all elements to best forecast volumes for these products, considering market trends, feedback from sales teams, product portfolio, prices, and potential cannibalization impact on existing products
- Preparing and presenting forecast and analysis results to internal stakeholders during monthly S&OP meetings
- Challenging existing assumptions and processes to improve forecast accuracy
- Measuring major deviations from objectives, identifying causes, and implementing corrective measures.
Your Profile
- You have a minimum of a Master's degree (Bac+5) in supply chain, planning, statistics, economics, management, finance, or a related field
- You have previous experience in a similar position or in data analysis
- You are proficient with forecasting tools (Futurmaster is a plus) and very comfortable with specialized software (M3, Power BI, Excel, etc.)
- You have excellent level in English, allowing you to work in an international environment both in writing and speaking
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills
- You are proactive, and your qualities of rigor, autonomy, and analysis, combined with excellent interpersonal skills, will enable you to work effectively with various stakeholders
What we offer
- A salary between 2800 and 3800 a month based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
- This is a position for 32 to 40 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
- You will receive a temporary contract for one year with a probation time of one month.
- You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
- The option to work hybrid up to 3 days, with 2 joint office days.
- The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
