Shipping Planner
About us
This position serves as a key liaison between Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse Operations, coordinating shipment planning and order releases to support an efficient fulfillment process. The role helps ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with customer requirements.
Your mission
The role is responsible for planning shipments through customer portals, releasing orders to the warehouse, and ensuring all shipments are completed on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Reviewing routing/ship dates and planning shipments to our warehouses thru customer’s routing and direction.
- Resolving issues and Days late report with our warehouse, carriers, customer traffic departments and DJG/Cosco CSR.
- Maintain up to date customer routing guides and review changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your profile
Education, Licenses, and/or Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Minimum of 5 years in transportation, distribution, or customer service
Experience and Skills
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational/attention to detail skills.
- Must have sales presentation experience to support key account presentations with technical information to expedite decisions.
- Must be proactive and a self-motivator that can deliver results.
- Proficiency in managing multiple tasks concurrently and performing well under pressure.
- Ability to work cohesively with multiple teams and develop solutions by engaging internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
