About us

The European Operations division of Dorel Juvenile consists of 6 departments: Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouse & Distribution, Procurement, Supplier Quality and Customer Services. The Procurement department is responsible for Products Related (PR) purchases as well as Non-Product Related (NPR) purchases. The department consists of 16 team members, based in Helmond-NL (6), Cholet-FR (6) and Porto-PT (4).

 

An opportunity has come up in our Procurement department for a Buyer NPR (m/f, fulltime 40 hrs/wk) based at our EU headquarters in Helmond, NL. This is an exciting chance for a procurement talent who's looking for a growing NPR challenging environment mainly in ICT and Marketing. You do this in collaboration with your team and the business. The total European NPR spend is €38M. This role reports to the Procurement Manager, also based in Helmond.

Please note that this vacancy is for a locally hired position. As such, we have a strong preference for candidates already based in the Netherlands. Your mission

As a  NPR Buyer you are responsible for the translation of our business needs to optimal purchased services and goods. In close relation with your internal customer you source, select and contract suppliers in a wide portfolio. For assigned NPR categories you explore savings opportunities and manage risks. Your buying expertise is recognized and enables you to take the lead in projects from a Procurement perspective. With your flexible mindset you are willing and eager to adapt your scope and deliver support in a changing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Supplier relation & performance management for NPR suppliers (g. ICT, Marketing, HR and Facility).
  • Negotiate and maintain contracts, prices, delivery terms, and other relevant conditions.
  • You initiate and analyse RFP/RFI/RFQ’s for European NPR projects.
  • Execution of tenders, benchmarks and negotiations in line with the strategic category plans.
  • Manage Procurement tools like contract management system, N2P tool, ERP.
  • Reporting on KPI’s and added value.
  • To contribute to the department’s operation you support in administrative tasks and initiate process optimizations.

Your profile

  • Higher (HBO) or Academic education.
  • Minimum 3-5 year experience in Non Product Related purchasing, preferably in an international environment for ICT, Marketing, HR, Facility.
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English is a must.
  • Analysis and problem solving competency.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools.
  • You’re a “selfstarter”, able to function independently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Affinity with marketing systems and tools.
