Trade Marketing Excellence Manager

Your Mission

You are responsible to define and drive our centre of excellence (COE) trade team for implementation of trade marketing activities across Europe. You will drive central trade marketing initiatives together with your sales organization focused on our top accounts to optimize all aspects of our in-store performance in order to maximize sell-out at our retailers. You embed our EU brand, product and sales strategy into the various go-to-market trade tools while meeting our overall business objectives. In this role you work closely with the local sales and trade teams and other marketing teams. You lead a team of trade marketeers, marketing operation specialist, events manager and training manager. You report to the Trade Marketing Manager Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate global and EU brand, marketing and sales strategy into a EU trade marketing strategy, which will be translated into local go-to market activities by your team.
  • Setup and follow-up central initiatives to maximize our Instore performance (POS material, location in store, retailer staff knowledge and loyalty, portfolio) by cooperating with our sales and trade teams and linking with our customers.
  • Development of EU trade tools and plans including POS material kits and promotional strategies based on market information and feedback from our sales organization, retailers and consumers.
  • Alongside your counterparts, brand and digital marketing, writing the master trade copy and selecting key lifestyles for print POS materials and etail assets.
  • Manage and monitor Trade Marketing project Investments and ROI.
  • Manage supplier relationships and manage inventory levels.
  • Identifying potential new tools for the company’s go-to-market via research, analysis, and meetings with potential clients.
  • Steer plans associated to DJE’s participation at tradeshows or events.
  • Manage, coach and develop the central trade team.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who preferably has:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration or related
  • 7 years of relevant marketing experience in an international complex/ matrix environment
  • Entrepreneurial, confident with drive, lots of energy and the ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to anticipate needs and initiate action
  • Ability to translate strategy & insights into pragmatic execution plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with high end brands and/or retail is a strong plus
  • Willingness to travel 10%
