Your mission

You will be managing complex new product development projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. As a Program Manager, you work closely with colleagues from different departments and external partners organized in project teams.  

You will be responsible for preparing, organizing and implementing product development projects for our car seat category that combine safety, function and esthetics in a perfect manner. Ensuring delivery on time, within specifications and budget. The scope of the projects varies from innovation, via New Product Development (NPD) to existing products & process optimizations covering the entire product life cycle. 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Manage the project portfolio based on brand and company requirements.  
  • Structure the complex strategic projects and draft the associated plans and documents.  
  • Define the role and the responsibilities of each participant in the projects to make optimum use of skills and capacities.  
  • Bring a helicopter-view of the available resources on the projects in your category to ensure reaching our project goals, while being flexible and creative to achieve the best profitability and efficiency. 
  • Lead the project teams, and monitor schedules, milestones, budgets and process.  
  • Ensure the proper use of project support tools. 
  • Consolidate the reporting of project activities and communicate relevant information to the partners in the monitoring committees.  
  • In the case of strategic choices during the project, initiate and develop clear options and scenarios, helping the specialists to make the right decisions.  
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement of project management within the organization.  
  • Coordinate definition of new initiatives and project scopes to improve the profitability in terms of NPD (New Product Development) on the car seat product category.  

Your profile

  • BA or University degree in Engineering or related with extensive experience in managing NPD projects. Ideally acquired in an international context and with consumer products.  
  • Master project management tools and a proven track record in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.  
  • Demonstrated leadership and charisma allowing you to convince and influence stakeholders with excellent communication skills and a real team spirit.  
  • Able to have a helicopter view and to coordinate different competences of the organization towards common goals.  
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a talent for identifying opportunities and improving efficiency. 
  • Good general knowledge of engineering will help you to understand what is asked of the specialists in the projects.  
  • Fluent in English with good presentation and writing skills.  
  • The practice of remote management and the knowledge of Asian culture are a preference, as well as knowledge and practice of Agile project management.  
  • In this position you will be expected to travel 1-2 times a year to Asia to coordinate with internal colleagues and development partners.  

What we offer

  • A salary between 4500 and 6000 a month based on your experience and knowledge, with room to grow.
  • This is a position for 36 to 40 hours per week, depending on your preferences.
  • You will first receive an annual contract with a probation time of one month.
  • You are eligible for a 13th month every year.
  • The option to work hybrid up to 2 days, with 3 joint office days.
  • The annual leave entitlements consist of 28 vacation days in the case of full-time employment.
  • Extensive retirement plan.
  • Other terms include travel expenses, use of a laptop and telephone if required, option to purchase extra holiday hours, Bicycle Plan and collective health insurance.
  • Besides work there is time for fun such as team outings or our Workout on Wheels bootcamp every Tuesday.
